DRESS CODE POLICY
Last updated: April 2010
Purpose: With the intention to treat all employees, members and guests with respect, and to maintain a welcoming, informal environment that reflects the history and tradition of golf in our community, Bluenose Golf Club has adopted the following Dress Code for members, guests and green fee players:
Dress Standards: To be applied on the course and the driving range.
For ALL GOLFERS:
•Footwear must be appropriate.
•Shorts must reach to mid-thigh. Cut-off shorts are not permitted.
•Tank-tops, tube-tops and racer-back tops are not permitted.
•Midriff should not be visible while in standing position.
•Clothing with offensive language is not permitted.
For MEN including Junior Boys:
•Sleeveless shirts are not permitted.
For WOMEN including Junior Girls:
•Sleeveless shirts with or without collar are permitted.
•“Spaghetti straps” are not permitted.
Implementation:
The Dress Code Policy will be circulated to the membership, posted in the Golf Shop and posted on the Club website.
Implementation of the Club’s Dress Code is primarily the responsibility of management and staff. It is expected that implementation of the Dress Code will be effected with courtesy and common sense. Staff may issue a warning, offer clothing items for sale, or forbid access. Decisions are at the discretion of the management.
Members are responsible for their guests’ adherence to the Dress Code and should ensure that guests are aware of dress expectations prior to arrival at the Club.
Problem Resolution:
Any questions or concerns about the Dress Code or its implementation should be addressed to the Manager of Operations. Failing a satisfactory resolution, the concern should then be addressed to the Club President.
